I have more than twenty years experience in family law. My primary area of practice includes divorce, child custody, child support modification and enforcement, paternity, alimony and grandparent rights. I have extensive experience representing parents and children in suits involving child protective services.
I practiced law for more than a decade in rural East Texas–Winnsboro and the surrounding counties. I had a general, small-town civil trial practice, handling divorce, child custody, probate, criminal defense, and general civil litigation.
In 2010, I relocated my practice to beautiful Colorado Springs, where I was born. I opened my first Colorado office near downtown Colorado Springs. In 2011, I opened a second office in Woodland Park, Colorado, to seek and serve clients in Teller County.
The purpose of this blog is to provide information about family law matters. Divorce and custody litigation is stressful on all members of the family. Most people don’t go to the courthouse on a regular basis: I do. My goal is to pass along to my readers a portion of the wisdom and experience I have gained from my years dealing with families, lawyers, and judges. I want to answer some of your questions and make you more comfortable with the process.
